THE FORMAT
Two full days of focused, private work.
A couples intensive is not just couples therapy at double speed, it’s a different kind of container. Over two days, we go beyond the presenting conflict to address the real dynamics in your relationship: the wounds each of you carries, the protective patterns that keep you stuck, and the skills you need to actually change how you treat each other.
This is joint work throughout. Both of you are in the room together for the full two days. There is something powerful about doing deep individual work in the presence of your partner. This is how Relational Life Therapy works, and it is what makes the intensive format so effective.
You will leave with concrete written recommendations, not just “Same time next week?”
At the end of two days, you’ll have a real path forward that you and any ongoing therapist can build from.
Two Full Days
Deep, uninterrupted therapeutic work across two consecutive days; no week lost in between sessions, no momentum broken.
Joint Work Throughout
Both partners are present together for the entire intensive. RLT is relational by design; the work happens between you, not separately.
Written Recommendations
You leave with concrete written recommendations, not vague advice.

THE FRAMEWORK
Grounded in Relational Life Therapy
Relational Life Therapy, developed by Terry Real, is a direct, relational approach built on radical honesty, full accountability, and genuine intimacy.
In RLT, we believe in rocking the boat. What traditional therapy works around, we confront head on. RLT names each partner’s protective patterns and strategies that once made sense, but now damage the relationship. Relational Life Therapy is not neutral, it is compassionately confrontational.
This is not surface-level communication coaching. It is deep relational work.

Couples in current distress (disconnection, repeated conflict, or a breaking point) who need to move faster than weekly therapy allows.

Infidelity, discovered deception, or broken trust that has fractured the relationship. You need more than a weekly hour can hold.
Stuck in Weekly Therapy
You've been in therapy before and made some progress, but something isn't moving. The intensive format can break through what weekly sessions can't budge.

YOUR THERAPIST
Heather Seguin, LMFT
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with advanced training in Relational Life Therapy and Gottman Method. I’ve been in practice since 2007 and my work has centered on couples, sex addiction recovery, and betrayal trauma since 2013. Helping couples break free of their negative cycles and find real hope for deeper connection is my greatest passion.
The couples intensive was birthed from my observation that, for some couples, one hour a week just isn’t enough to get the kind of traction needed to produce deep change. An RLT couples intensive provides the right container for relationships that want clarity and direction in hours instead of months.
INVESTMENT
Intensive services are typically not covered by insurance and are offered as a private-pay option. Heather can provide documentation upon request, but reimbursement is not guaranteed and is the client’s responsibility to pursue.
